Day Camp is Coming to East Side Lutheran Church
Camp is coming to our church July 19-22 (Monday-Thursday) Day Camp is an exciting program offered by Shetek Lutheran Ministries of Slayton, MN. It will be four days of Christian Day Camping for youth who are entering grades 1-8. It is a joint venture of East Side Lutheran Church, Hope Lutheran Church and Shetek Lutheran Ministiries. The cost for the week is only $40. This covers all weekly costs except for the daily sack lunches for your child(ren). What happens at Day Camp? Bible study, worship, games for fun and recreation where everybody plays and learns, arts and crafts, singing, fellowship, nature studies, making new friends and much more! Where will it happen? Day Camp will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Thurday. Day Camp will be held at East Side Lutheran Church. The will be a special program for families on Wednesday, July 21 at 7:00pm at East Side. Who will lead it? Staff from Shetek Lutheran Ministries will lead the program. The staff are young adults trained and equipped in Bible study, worship, first aid, recreation, arts and crafts, and working with people both young and old. The staff is at least 16 years old and are led by an experienced Day Camp Director in conjunction with a church coordinator. All Shetek staff have received extensive Day Camp Training. Volunteers from the church will share in the leadership as well. Who can come? Any youth that have completed Kindergarten through 7th grade can sign up!
