Confirmation
is a two-year program of instruction in the Lutheran Christian
faith. It normally begins in the fall of the seventh grade (preceded
by a week at confirmation camp) and continues until the Rite
of Confirmation is administered on Reformation Sunday in their
ninth grade.
During
Wednesday confirmation classes we cover the traditional topics
of the Small Catechism: Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed,
the Lord's Prayer, Sacraments. In addition, we explore worship,
the nature of discipleship, Lutheran history and heritage, and
how disciples of Jesus Christ deal with money.
During Sunday School (9:30 am only), confirmation students will
explore the Old Testament and the New Testament. A year
is spent in in-depth study of each Testament
